The story of

BADAGONI

Badagoni Wine Company was established in 2006 in the Kakheti region, the epicenter of Georgian wine production, owning vineyards (about 500 ha) in each micro-zone. The company philosophy stands for protecting and respecting the 8 000-year continuous tradition of Georgian winemaking, and at the same time, using the latest achievements and scientific knowledge available in winemaking today, to create the best Georgian wine.

Badagoni is the pioneer of the use of high-quality standards in the production of Georgian wine through the establishment of the most sophisticated technologies and a partnership with the leading Italian wine research center “Enosis Meraviglia”. Badagoni consistently delivers high-quality wines regardless its leadership in bottle production quantity which is proven by numerous prestigious wine awards and recognitions wordwide.

Since 2017, Badagoni maintains its position as a top wine exporter from Georgia exporting wines to more than 35 countries.. We produce more than 12 000 000 bottles of wine per year. A wide range of Badagoni products comprises still wine, sparkling wine, Chacha and Qvevri wines. Badagoni qvevri wines are vinified in the historic 11th-century Alaverdi monastery wine cellar in full accordance with the 8000 year old Georgian tradition.

Currently, there are about 1500 people working at Badagoni. Furthermore, Badagoni contributes significantly to the growth of wine tourism in Georgia by providing excellent hospitality facilities (4 restaurants and 3 hotels) as well as by funding the advancement of wine education through initiatives like “Qvevri Academy”, archeological research and studies of the potential of different Georgian grape varieties among many other things.
